BearX Labs Integrates Chainlink VRF To Help Power Verifiably Random Draws and In-Game Features
BearX Labs is excited to announce its official integration with Chainlink — the industry-standard decentralized oracle network — to help power verifiably random NFT draws and randomize in-game features of our vox collectible NFTs within The Sandbox.
Chainlink has paved the path for off-chain data and compute services. In the BearX Labs ecosystem, multiple properties and collections interact across The Sandbox through the streaming rewards available to holders.
What Is Chainlink VRF?
Chainlink VRF solves the randomness problem for blockchains by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with an oracle node’s pre-commited private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The BearX Labs smart contracts will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This helps provide users with automated and publicly verifiable proof directly on-chain that the distribution of NFTs and rewards using Chainlink VRF for randomness is provably fair and cannot be tampered with or predicted by the oracle, outside entities, or the BearX Labs team.
